Cooking Camps-Summer 2024

We will show your children simple techniques on how to create delicious and healthy meals in the kitchen.  Each day we will focus on a new knife skills, cooking technique,  ethnic cuisine, and create a brand new three course menu. Campers will get to enjoy a new snack, lunch and dessert created by them each day!

All camps are held at our location on 3222 Old Chapel Hill Road in Durham.

All camps are $425/student. 10% sibling discount (email for details.)

Monday, July 8th: Topics covered: Topics covered: Chopping onions and garlic, learning to read recipes, kitchen safety, setting a table, Japanese ingredients, making sushi.  Japanese Cuisine.

Tuesday, July 9th: Topics covered: Mincing vegetables, learning to weigh and measure ingredients, Chinese ingredients, making dumplings, steaming. Chinese Cuisine.  

Wednesday, July 10th: Topics covered: Chopping Tomatoes, growing your own vegetables, making rice, making spring rolls. Vietnamese Cuisine.

Thursday, July 11th: Topics covered: Chopping herbs, cooking with herbs, grilling, Thai ingredients, making curries.  Thai Cuisine.

Friday, July 12th: Topics covered: Cutting potatoes, sauteing, making kim chi, Korean ingredients. Korean Cuisine.
